Terms of Service

These Terms cover your use of FiveDock: the panel at fivedock.dev, the API, the CDN, and the agent you run on your own game server. Creating an account or connecting a server means you agree to them.

In effect since September 7, 2026

Those addresses are our single point of contact, for users and for authorities alike. Legal notices are handled in English.

2.What FiveDock is

FiveDock is an operations platform for FiveM roleplay servers. You install one resource, the agent, on your own machine. It connects out to us, and from there we host your files, keep the backups you asked for, record an evidence timeline, and give your staff a panel to work from.

  • Files and delivery. Uploads from your scripts and your players, image and video conversion, and a CDN that serves them.
  • Time Machine. Scheduled copies of your resources and your database, encrypted before they leave your machine, with a restore you approve.
  • Black Box. A timeline of what happened on your server, with the screenshots and clips your staff need to back up a decision.
  • Command Center. Live staff operations, against a fixed list of commands your roles allow.
  • Server health. Errors, performance, deploys, assets, database and economy, watched and reported back to you.

The agent is the only part of FiveDock that runs on your machine, and the only path between us and your server. It never accepts an incoming connection. Section 8 says what that means for you.

3.Accounts

You must be at least 16 to hold an account, and you must have the authority to act for the server you connect. If you are signing up for a community rather than for yourself, you are agreeing to these Terms on that community’s behalf.

An account belongs to a workspace and you invite the rest of your staff into it with a role. Roles decide who can restore a backup, prune a table, see an unmasked player identifier or spend money. Who holds which role is your decision, and what they do with it is your responsibility.

There is no password to lose: signing in is a link we email you, or Discord. Keep your API keys to yourself, and tell us at [email protected] the moment you think one has leaked. We will roll it. Until you tell us, anything done with a valid key is treated as done by you.

4.Your files, your database, your players

Everything you upload or connect stays yours. We claim no ownership of your files, your resources, your database or your players’ data.

To run the service we need permission to do the obvious things with it: store it, copy it between regions, convert an image or a video into a format a browser can play, serve it to the people you point at it, and keep the backups you asked for. That permission lasts exactly as long as you keep the content on FiveDock.

Your players’ personal data is yours, not ours. You are the controller of it and we act on your instructions. What that means in practice, and the mask that hides identifiers from roles that do not need them, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

5.Plans, prices and invoices

Subscriptions are sold through Skalp, which is the merchant of record: Skalp takes the payment, charges the VAT and issues the invoice. Prices, renewals, cancellation and refunds are governed by Skalp’s terms, not by these. What reaches us is the fact that your plan is paid.

A paid plan renews for the same period until you cancel it, and you cancel it from the billing screen. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the period you are already in, unless Skalp’s refund policy or the law where you live says it does.

The free plan is free, has smaller limits, carries no service commitment and can change. We will not turn a free plan into a paid one without asking you first.

6.Limits and fair use

Every plan comes with storage, transfer and retention limits, published on the pricing page. They exist so one city does not pay for another’s traffic. Your usage is in the panel, and we warn you before you reach a cap.

At your storage limit we stop new uploads. At your traffic limit we stop serving files, unless you have chosen, on a paid plan, to keep serving and pay for the extra traffic at the rate on the pricing page, invoiced after the month ends. We do not delete anything and we do not send a surprise bill. If your city has outgrown its plan we will tell you which one fits. Using FiveDock as something other than a FiveM city’s storage, such as a general file host, a backup target for unrelated systems or a public download service, is not fair use, and we will ask you to move that elsewhere.

7.What you may not host

FiveDock holds other people’s content, so there is a short list of things that must not be on it. What your server and your players upload is your responsibility.

  • Anything illegal where you are or where we are, and above all any sexual content involving a minor, which we act on and report the moment we see it.
  • Content whose purpose is to harass, threaten or expose a real person: doxxing, an unwanted real photograph, a recording of somebody who never agreed to be in your roleplay.
  • Work that is not yours to distribute, such as leaked or resold paid scripts, ripped assets, or somebody else’s map or model.
  • Files with nothing to do with running a server: general file storage, a warez mirror, a public download service.
  • Malware, a payload aimed at another server, or anything that tries to reach parts of FiveDock your account was not given.
  • Reselling FiveDock, or putting it in front of your own customers as your own product, without a written agreement with us.

Anyone can report a file, without an account, from the report page. We act on reports ourselves, and the city that uploaded the file sees them in its moderation queue.

8.The agent, and commands sent to your server

The agent makes an outgoing connection to us and nothing else. It opens no port, it accepts no incoming connection, and there is no path by which we could send it raw SQL or an arbitrary command. Every instruction it will execute is on a fixed list built into the resource, is signed, and is valid once, for a short window.

Some of those instructions change your server: restoring a backup, pruning a table, restarting a resource. You, or somebody you gave the role to, has to ask for each one, and who asked is recorded in an audit trail you can read. We do not run them on our own initiative, except where we have to stop an abuse in progress or comply with the law, and we tell you when we do.

The agent runs on your machine, under your control, and you can stop it at any moment. It ships as source rather than as a compiled binary, so you can read what it does before you start it, or have somebody read it for you.

9.Backups and encryption

Backups are encrypted on your machine, with your key, before anything leaves it. We store the result. We cannot read it, we cannot search it and we cannot hand its contents to anybody, including to a court, which can only be given the ciphertext we hold.

That cuts both ways, and it is the most important sentence in this document. If you lose your key, the backup is gone. We have no copy of it and no recovery path. Keep it somewhere other than the machine it protects.

A restore overwrites what is on your server now. It requires an elevated role, it asks for confirmation, and it can be set to require a second person’s approval. Test restores do not guarantee that your data can be recovered, so keep your own copy of anything you cannot lose.

10.Availability, support and changes

We run FiveDock to be up, we publish incidents on the status page, and we give notice of planned maintenance where we can. No plan carries an uptime guarantee today. If we ever offer one, it will be in writing.

The service changes: features arrive, and occasionally one is withdrawn. If we remove something you rely on, or change it in a way that materially reduces what you are paying for, you get notice and, if you want it, a way out without paying for the rest of the term.

11.Suspension and closing an account

You can close your account whenever you like, from the settings screen. Cancelling ends the subscription at the end of the period you have already paid for.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks section 7, that is being used to attack somebody, or where the law or a payment provider requires it. Where the situation allows it you get notice and a chance to fix it. Where it does not, for example with content that has to come down now, we act first and explain afterwards.

After an account closes we keep your files for 30 days so you can pull them back, then delete them. Encrypted backups follow the retention you chose. What we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons is listed in the Privacy Policy; nothing else survives.

12.Intellectual property

FiveDock, meaning the platform, the panel, the API, the design and the name, is ours. Using the service transfers none of it, and nothing here gives you the right to copy it or build a competing product out of it.

Your content stays yours, as section 4 says. So do your city’s name and logo: we will not use them as a reference or a case study without asking you first.

If you send us an idea or a bug report, we may act on it and build it, and we will not owe you anything for it.

13.Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that FiveDock will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every framework and script your server runs.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, or for data you kept no copy of.

If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away a right you have under the law of the country you live in, including liability that cannot be excluded for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

You will cover us against claims arising from what you or your players put on FiveDock, from your breach of these Terms, or from your use of the service against somebody else’s rights, to the extent the law where you live allows.

14.Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. A dispute we cannot settle within 30 days goes to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association’s rules, seated in Wyoming, in English, before a single arbitrator, and is decided individually rather than as part of a class. Either of us may still go to court for an injunction over intellectual property or unauthorised access. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you keep the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in, and nothing in this section takes that away.

These Terms are written in English; translations are a convenience and the English text prevails. If one clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stands. Together with the Privacy Policy, and with Skalp’s terms for anything to do with money, this is the whole agreement between us about FiveDock.

15.Changes to these Terms

We can change these Terms. The date at the top says when the current version took effect. For a change that materially affects you we give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the panel before it applies, and if you do not accept it you can close your account before it does.
